Problematic Sexual Behavior Services (PSB)
PSB Screener
Small Talk CAC provides Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) therapy services to clients (ages 3 - 11) who have participated in a PSB Screening. The Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) screening is a one-on-one body safety screening between a therapist and a child (ages 3 to 11). This screening is utilized in situations where a child is exhibiting concerning sexualized behaviors, using sexualized language, and/or showing behavioral indicators of sexual abuse. This screening tool is used to identify the most appropriate intervention, including caregiver education, referrals to other services, or PSB therapy services at Small Talk CAC. Active caregiver participation is required. Services at Small Talk CAC are provided free of charge. Participant’s insurance will not be billed.
Referrals for Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB) Screeners must be sent to Small Talk CAC by Law Enforcement, Child Protective Services (CPS), Foster Care, Friend of the Court (FOC), or the Prosecutor’s Office. If a caregiver has concerns about potential Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB), caregivers can contact local Law Enforcement or Child Protective Services agencies.
MDT Partners looking to refer in can contact Kayelynn Abramski, LMSW, Clinical Director.
