Megan describes the best part of their job as helping families feel safe and heard. They believe trauma-focused treatment should be inclusive, non-judgmental, and healing. They want every child, teen, and family to know they are not alone.
Megan is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI); they use this and other evidence-based treatments to support youth and families. Before joining Small Talk in 2022, Megan interned with Bronson Sexual Assault Services and Child Advocacy Center in Battle Creek. Megan also has experience as supervisor and family worker for family preservation programs and home-based clinical support programs.
Megan joined Small Talk in 2022 as a therapist and outside of work enjoys making ceramics and other creative pursuits.
