Christin loves Lansing and has been passionately working to enhance the lives of children and families here for the past 20 years. She’s a trained secondary educator through the MSU College of Education and an ordained minister through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Ordained in 2014, she has served as lead/solo pastor at congregations in Holland, Mason, and Lansing Michigan. Her areas of expertise are youth and family ministries, community outreach, and congregation vitality.

Most recently, she spent several months teaching Kindergarten in the Mason Public Schools. She has extensive experience in advocacy work at the state and national level on issues related to keeping our kids and our communities safe. She also ran a Summer Drama Camp based on her Honors Thesis, “Using Drama to Enhance Literacy Skills in At-Risk Kids.”

Utilizing all her beloved community relationships, she’s excited for the opportunity to educate and create safe spaces to talk about the reality of child sexual abuse and how we can prevent it. She is a trained facilitator for Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children Prevention Education Program, and can also offer specialized presentations to community groups, schools, churches, parent-groups, and more.

Christin is also a girl-mom who loves Hello Kitty, Captain America, True Crime, and zoo-outings!
